How to Make a Booking

  1. Choose the date for your service
    • Remember that you will need to leave your instrument with Orchestral Winds for 7 days from the day you drop the instrument to me.
    • Overhauls and Full Repads may need to be here for longer than 7 days.
  2. Leave your contact details in the form. I will try to contact you briefly to confirm some of the details about the booking.
  3. Prices are approximate and include the costs of parts.
  • Remember that you will need to leave your instrument with Orchestral Winds for 7 days from the day you drop the instrument to me.
  • Overhauls and Full Repads may need to be here for longer than 7 days.

Afterwards, I will try to contact you briefly to confirm:

  • The details about the booking.
  • What day and time you can drop the instrument to me. It is by appointment only!

There are often a number of reasons that prices can change. One is variations in types of parts you would prefer. Another variation is the types of tasks carried out on your instrument. Some instruments, for example, will benefit most from having keys tightened (and less parts replaced), and others would benefit from replacement of pads and other parts for the best response. We can discuss this when I see the instrument. 

Don’t worry too much about the price that is on the form. If you have made a mistake on the form, we can adjust this after the service happens. I will have spoken to you before this point, anyway.

On the Day of the Booking...

  1. Arrive between 8:30am and 9:30am on the day of the booking.
    • This is the best time to leave the instrument with me, and hopefully we will have confirmed this already.
    • The contact-us page has Google Maps directions.
  2. Ring the Buzzer for Unit #3
    • Watch this video to navigate the premises if you are unsure.
  3. I will collect your details and the instrument
    • I’ll normally take a quick look at it in case there is anything to discuss before you go.
  • If you think you’ll be held up or won’t make the appointed time, just send me a text.

During the Week of Servicing...

  1. If any issues surface, I will call you.

    • Most services are completed without any hidden issues, but sometimes unexpected problems arise.
    • We can discuss what the options are, and which course of action you would like to take.

    • If there are any options to choose from, there could be different costs attached, and varying benefits for the instrument.

  2. If you have any extra information or requests for the service, feel free to contact me about it. (Contact-Us page)
  • Most services are completed without any hidden issues, but sometimes unexpected problems arise.
  • We can discuss what the options are, and which course of action you would like to take.

When the Service is Finished...

  1. I will text or email you to confirm completion

  2. Time of instrument pickup…

    • 8:30am-9:30am on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for pickup is fine.

    • If you plan to arrive at any other time, please text me to make sure I won’t be stepping out for any reason.

  • Feel free to call me about the progress of the instrument if you have not heard from me.
  • By appointment. This could be easiest to arrange by text or phone.
